Gwendollynne Van Jules is a fictive name I have created as a pseudonym for my art, which was, I believe, in 2005. It is composed of my most liked forenames of the time: Gwendollynne (which, incidentally, normally isn't written with a double l) as a female, Jules (pronounced as in English, not French) as a male first name. The Van I chose as a copula.
Long after I chose it, I investigated on its meaning. Gwendollynne means "white ring", which can also be interpreted as "white moon", while Jules probably derived from greek, meaning "downy-bearded."

I am passionate to create, hence I explore (with) all mediums that may possibly draw my interest. I do not turn my attention to the conveying of a specific, verbaliseable message but rather the depiction of the atmospheres of states of mind, as I am exorbitantly susceptible to atmosphere in general.
I also profit or suffer from synaesthesia, which means that all numbers and letters have both color and gender in my world.
In film, I like surealism or drama and to densify both characters and story.

As a person, I adore language and walking on the fine line of playing with it yet using it militantly correctly. I am always eager to learn and have an interest in history and mathematics. I like to keep my intellectually influencing surroundings reduced to have more room for blossoming, still a high standard of education is very important to me. I think that a book is more inspiring for a film than a film is, as it challenges the innate rather than giving examples to copy.
I currently am director's assistant and small-role actress at a local theater group and plan to make directing my profession.
